Principalfs Welcome

Thank you for visiting our official website.

In 1975, Yasufuruichi High School was founded as the first public high school located in Asaminami-Ward, the northern suburbs of Hiroshima City.  Our school will be forty years old this year.   This spring, the number of graduates surpassed 15,000.  Today, they play active roles both inside and outside of the city.

Our schoolfs motto, gGyoko,h is to set a high goal in life.  It is a figurative expression derived from the image of looking up at a high mountain top.  The motto, representing the wishes of the school founders, has always encouraged students to work hard.

Under this motto, we have focused on raising studentsf achievement higher and higher to realize their dreams; we have fostered studentsf independence and autonomy through activities such as clubs, the student council and school events; and we have nurtured students who are ideally suited as top leaders.

In 2015, the Hiroshima Prefecture Board of Education selected us to study curricula which make use of knowledge and skills students have learned to find their own solution to problems they have never faced through cooperating with others.  We, the Yasufuruichi staff, strive to make our students have a zest for life and keep learning to survive in a diversified world.

We hope that you will understand and support our school just like you have done so far.

  Principal of Yasufuruichi High School
